About VidKlik
VidKlik is a free online tool that helps people save public videos from Facebook for personal use: watching offline, archiving their own posts, keeping educational content, or saving a copy of a video they created and published themselves.
How it works — and what it never does
When you paste a link, VidKlik reads the public version of the video and lists the qualities Facebook actually serves for it — HD when it exists, standard definition otherwise. The file then travels directly from Facebook’s servers to your device. It never passes through our servers, and we never store it.
That architecture shapes everything else. There is no account to create, no software or extension to install, and no video library held anywhere on our side. We show only qualities that genuinely exist: a video uploaded in low resolution cannot be downloaded in HD by any tool, and we would rather show that reality than promise resolutions that do not exist.
Two limits are deliberate. Private videos, friends-only posts and group videos — including public groups — are refused by design, because they are not public content. And short fb.watch links must first be opened once in your browser so they expand to the full video address; our troubleshooting guide explains this step in detail.
Copyright and creators
Downloading a video transfers no rights: the content remains its creator’s property. VidKlik exists for personal archiving of content you are entitled to save — your own videos, material published with reuse permission, or public-domain content. Never republish a creator’s work without consent and never exploit it commercially. Rights holders can reach us through the DMCA page, where reports receive priority handling.
